Field Trips

Our spring field trip places emphases on the production of strawberries in North Carolina. Students will learn about how strawberries are planted, cared for, and harvest in our AgClassroom. After the educational portion, students will get an old fashioned hay ride around the farm, stopping in our barnyard area to visit the farm animals. Lastly, student will pick one pint of strawberries. School groups are welcome to bring their lunch to enjoy in the picnic area. Please allow an hour n’ a half for field trips. Cost is $7/student. Teachers/chaperones are free.


In the fall we have two packages available for school groups. Package 1 includes hayride, pumpkin pickin’, and educational information about how pumpkin grow. Cost is $8/student. Please allow 1.5 hours. Teachers/chaperones are free. Package 2 includes a hayride to our GETLOST corn maze and a trip through the maze. Students are $9. Chaperones/parents $9. Teachers free. Please allow at least 3 hours. Each field trip has the option to stop in our barnyard area to visit the farm animals. Groups can bring their own lunch to enjoy in our picnic area.
